Designed and delivered a global impact fellowship programme powered by the Ministry of Finance, and subsequently adopted as a programme under NBOS, with the objective of making Malaysia a country of choice for international professional volunteers whilst encouraging volunteerism amongst Malaysians. Received almost 400 applications from around the world, and selected 44 fellows from 20 countries including 18 from Malaysia to join a four-month fellowship programme that incorporated elements of leadership development and capacity building of host organisations (Malaysian NGOs and social enterprises). Created an active portal and social media channels for community engagement and alumni connection.
Nine socially innovative projects, ranging from youth-at-risk to women empowerment to access to education, touched upon relevant community issues in need of support. Through the fellowship programme, over 25 training modules were held, 50+ partnerships established, and almost 4,000 beneficiaries served from the collective efforts of all involved.
